The Netherlands and Turkey will play against each other in the first leg of their qualifying group for the World Cup. The bookies take the Netherlands as the main favorite in the match, which is quite normal because the orange have a really strong team, which usually wins without any problems the qualifying groups. The Turks, in turn, failed to qualify for the last European Championship, which is certainly not an admission for a first class team.
Both teams have a real chance to rank among the top two, because the other rivals are not particularly impressive. These are the teams of Hungary, Romania, Estonia and Andorra. Surely, an appetite for the first two places have the Hungarians and the Romanians too, but it seems that the Netherlands and Turkey are favorites to go forward.
Now, what are the chances of both teams? Holland presented awfully at the European Championships, failing to make any victory and managed to score just a single goal. Furthermore, the team was plagued by various scandals, with the primary name on each of them – the one of Arjen Robben. A lot of media claimed that the other players in the team are set against Bayern Munich’s star and this has led to poor performance in Europe.
The Turks are not very impressive, but certainly at least the atmosphere in the club is very cohesive and this is very important. This is why my preferences go to them, although it is clear that the Netherlands is a strong host. The bookmakers are offering odds of 1.8 for a win for the Turks with an Asian Handicap advantage of +1;+1,5. This bet will allow me to win, even if Holland wins by 1 goal margin, which is enough for me. I do not believe the Netherlands will win by more than one goal difference and also the odds are lined with a sufficiently high rate, making it attractive enough for me.
The video below is from the match between these two played on 2010th.
